JAPAN’S ANIMALS NEED HELP, TOO!
For each person who ‘likes’ the Facebook Page of Dog Bless You, a dollar will be donated to help finance the use of search and rescue dogs that are so critical in disaster situations like what’s happening in Japan right now. You can also donate to Animal Refuge Kansai, the American Humane Association, The National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, or World Vets. Japan Cat Network, together with Heart Tokushima and Animal Friends Niigata has formed Japan Animal Rescue and Support.
It was thought that Cat Island had been completely submerged, but there’s been an update saying that the cats and people on Tashirojima are okay, however, they have a lot of building damage and are in need of necessities for both humans and cats.
PLEASE REBLOG!
Reblogging myself because this is important to me.
Please don’t just ‘like’ this post — reblog it and help spread the word — and donate!

Yahtzee demonstrates that a good horror game is one that lets your imagination do most of the scaring.
An urgent appeal, please read:
My name is Brendan. I’m a Corporal in the United States Army Reserve. The charming fellows in this picture are Heyzeus (left) and Andy.
I’ve received word recently that my unit is in all likelihood being called up for a deployment to Afghanistan this year, probably starting in May but perhaps even as early as the first of March. These guys are the only two things of mine that I don’t have a place to put while I’m gone. They’re also the most important to me.
Heyzeus, on the left, likes to think of himself as a big, gregarious tough guy, but is really just a sweet mush. It’s pretty standard for him to curl up on a person’s lap within seconds of meeting them. He’ll turn seven this year.
Andy is a little timid, but warms up to new people fairly quickly. He’s extremely talkative, and has a way of following people around and meowing until he’s petted. He has a way of chirping when he purrs, which is all the time. He’ll also lick your hand until you take it away from him. He’s six years old.
Both are neutered with no history of health problems. Neither is declawed. They’ve both lived with dogs and other cats. They love going outside when the weather is nice. They’re incredibly affectionate, loving animals with sweet and funny personalities.
These guys are my best buds and it’s absolutely imperative that I place them in a good home with a loving caretaker. I’d happily pay you up front for the cost of food and litter, plus a little something for your trouble. I’d need to know I can retrieve them when I come back, and that they would be in good hands should something happen to me. It would help if you live in the New York City area as that’s where most of my friends and family live and that would ease communication in both directions in case of emergency.
These boys are my family, please help. Thank you.

More Christmas, Hetalia-style.
Speaking of Christmas:
Dear Tumblr, thank you for not spamming massive amounts of red-and-green crap this holiday season! Seriously, I was afraid that by the time Christmas proper rolled around, I’d be sick to death of the colors red and green, but thanks to your restraint, this has not happened. Yay!
