I love how well they got the animated girls’ movements and facial expressions to match up to the guys’. Especially refreshing since that style of anime girl would usually be found making cutesy-wootsy moe faces and poses, so it’s nice to see them doing something more goofy and naturalistic.

Girls on Film takes scenes between men in mainstream movies, and redoes them with female actors playing the parts.
Here they take on a scene from the recent Star Trek movie. Swapping the sex of the actors playing these roles is interesting because it highlights quite clearly the codes of masculinity and expected gender roles which go under the radar in the original.
I would watch this film so hard.

THIS JUST BLEW MY FUCKING MIND. Right about when it was showing how tiny quarks are compared to electrons, and how tiny electrons are compared to protons, and how tiny all of them are compared to whole atoms, and KABOOM

1. I was staring at the viruses, comparing them in size, and then I zoomed a bit father out and HOLYSHIT IT’S A GIANT RED BLOOD CELL. I think red blood cells are cute. Something about their shape.
2. What in the fuck is a giant earthworm and which countries should I avoid in order to never ever encounter one?
3. Lol @ them specifying how to pronounce Uranus.
4. I scroll through all those stars, each one completely dwarfing the last, me getting more and more mindfucked, and then… Stingray Nebula. Makes the stars all look like dust mites. And that’s just the littlest nebula.
5. “Solar System’s Solar Neighborhood” — okay that’s just really adorable. I’m imagining all the solar systems toddling off to play ball in the park together.
